Why a Guiding Toothbrush looks Different
…
Instead of designing our toothbrushes to look like a Colgate or Oral B toothbrush, we started with what a toothbrush needs to produce whiter teeth and healthier gums.
We then asked Australians what they wanted in a toothbrush.
And with our new Classic range we also worked with three Universities and two Dental Hospitals.
The Guiding toothbrush handle was designed to meet the old Australian Standards for Toothbrushes (AS1032). We then incorporated the required Ergonomic Principles needed to hold and control a toothbrush and allow easy access to back teeth and all those other tricky places in the mouth.
Our Broom Technology bristles also meet the old Australian Standards for Toothbrushes (AS1032).
The Broom Tech bristles are very effective at sweeping Plaque (Bacterial Biofilm) off both teeth and gums.
Another advantage of the Broom Tech bristles is they will produce whiter teeth than an Electric toothbrush and with less brushing time.
And because a Guiding toothbrush has twice as many bristles as a current Normal (21st century design) and/or a bamboo toothbrush, a Guiding toothbrush will last two to three times longer than a Normal toothbrush.
This is important for both financial and environmental reasons.
One bonus feature of our new Classic range is that each toothbrush handle has only one colour making it is easy to know which toothbrush is yours if it is stored with other people’s toothbrushes.
